Silicone is Recyclable!
Did you know that silicone can be recycled multiple times? It's one of the many reasons we love this material! While recycling does cause a decrease in quality, the results can still be used in a variety of useful applications.
Can you toss silicone in your recycling bin? Unfortunately, no. While many recycling facilities can process silicone, they're often too focused on plastic. This means your silicone will likely be sent to a landfill if you toss it in the recycling bin! The good news is that, unlike plastic, silicone won't break down into harmful micro-plastics and micro-beads. Sand-based silicone will eventually return to the earth, which means it's still an eco-friendly option.
Silicone Take-Back Program
At CURVD, we take pride in producing top-quality, long-lasting silicone products that are environmentally sustainable. Our commitment to reducing our environmental impact extends beyond the manufacturing process and into the end life of our products. That's why we've started our take-back program.
If you have any CURVD silicone products that you're ready to part with, simply ship them back to us, and we'll take care of the rest. We're dedicated to recycling all silicone materials and ensuring that nothing goes to waste.
Step 1
Place your no longer needed CURVD silicone components into a paper envelope (we will recycle this as well) and mail them to:
CURVD Earplugs
ATTN: Silicone Takeback
4103 South Mason Street, Unit A
Fort Collins, CO 80525
Step 2
Relax, while we handle the rest!
We send the silicone components to a nearby recycling facility to be recycled into new useful products.

Other Ways to Recycle Silicone
Don't worry if you're having trouble getting your products to us for recycling - we're here to help! Simply reach out to your local recycling center to see if they can take your silicone. Even if some facilities can't help, it's always worth a try!
Alternatively, you could find a take-back program nearby or sign up for a private recycling program like TerraCycle. Let's work together to help create a cleaner, greener future!
